Any good van conversion needs a strong, reliable foundation, and van conversions require detailed processes that can change quite a bit depending on the van make and model. For that reason, we at Highland Rigs exclusively use Mercedes Sprinters for the Chino and Chino Mini, our flagship models. The Chino sits on the 170” wheel base and the Chino Mini on the 144” base. As we develop new models, there is a possibility that we expand to different makes and models.

Those functions are great, but we’ve tackled steep inclines and light off-road action with two-wheel drive vans and prefer to be realistic with our customers about their drivetrain needs.
